A friend of mine shared this image with me. I am from a country where there is no health care reforms, social security funds or government homes for the aged. I come from a country where the government officially announced anyone earning above 50 cents a day is above poverty line, yet there are 300 million such people who live below poverty line. Even beggars in the western countries will earn much more than that. However no matter what the circumstances are; these people can be proud of the way they win the daily struggle for survival.
This picture reminded me of my grandmother who raised cattle and sold milk until her death (at 83 years of age). I am proud to be from a country which has the most resilient people.
